Neuro-Diversity
Neurodiversity is the concept that certain developmental disorders are normal variations on brain functions, and those with these disorders have unique strengths in the ways that they think and conceptualize the world around them. These disorders include Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, as well as learning-specific disorders such as dyslexia and dyspraxia. A main focus of neurodiversity is for individuals to learn self-regulation strategies in order to improve executive functioning and quality of life. Kaivara clinicians are very familiar with working with neurodiverse people, and have developed a strong passion for this particular population.
